Responsible for managing Report2Learn (R2L) reporting system across the health system. Coordinate the management of R2L related projects and ongoing process improvement opportunities directed toward a common organizational goal. S upport the maintenance and security administration for Christiana Care Event Management System (RL Solutions) which includes the following modules and processes: Risk (including but not limited to events, Good Catch, Work Place Concerns, Work Place Injuries, Lost & Found, Privacy, Needlesticks), Claims, Peer Review, Feedback and RCA.
Organize the governance groups comprised of executives, senior management, service line leaders, department heads, other project champions/sponsors/stakeholders, and Information Technology (IT) staff to verify that R2L projects are sequenced, aligned, and managed in a way that meets the need of the overall organizational program. Oversee the projects in the event reporting program including monitoring budget, schedule, resources, and delivery of outcomes. Accountable to deliver the specific outcomes defined by the program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work closely with multidisciplinary champions, sponsors, stakeholders, and IT staff to create strategy, approach, sequencing, and timeline for projects and the overall program, focusing on clinical/business process improvements.
Provide intake mechanism for organizational requests and work with the champion/sponsor/business owner to develop and carry out the project plan.
Ensure multiple projects that comprise the program are linked in an effective manner to deliver the expected program outcomes and benefit, in an integrated fashion.
Provide oversight of system budget, resource management, and schedule. Monitor vendor hours and work. Resolve issues before they become barriers.
Prepare for, coordinate, and chair the R2L Governance Committee and R2L Sponsor Group meetings. Prepare for information sharing and decision making/consensus related to prioritization of projects.
Provide and present organizational communication and education related to the R2L event management system with consistent and coordinated communications.
Provide single point of contact for system users, champions and leaders related to event management in R2L. Serves as the liaison between CCHS staff and IT staff in supporting, addressing and resolving operation and reporting issues.
Administers the workflow and security of the R2L system to support the operational needs of Risk Management, including event reporting, user support, importing/entering of claims information, preparation of report templates, and creating ad hoc reports for special needs as required by the Director of Risk Management or Legal Affairs.
Manages planning, development and user acceptance testing for upgrades to system. Oversees the education plan related to changes to system.
Manages event notifications/alerts, making changes/updates as necessary, for risk and claims. Serves as a resource for Super Users (SU)/Subject Matter Experts (SME) in other modules.
Manages and maintains the configurations for each of the modules.
Understands the data source-of-truth and data mapping For EMS.
Verifies data integrity with module SME/SU.
Collaborates with SU/SME to administer the workflow and security of the modules within R2L
Creates and maintains system procedures for processes and documents data source and methodology used for special requests.
Acts as a resource to Risk Management staff and other department users on data definitions, event indicators, cause codes and use for event reporting, event follow-up, claims, RCA, Feedback, Privacy, Employee Health and Peer Review.
Functions as an escalation point for the individual module SU/SME for problems related to/t application.
Functions as escalation point for end users for problems relating to Event Management System.
Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards that may impact or pertain to department information systems.
Attends and participates in user groups and professional organizations to enhance professional knowledge of industry.
Performs miscellaneous duties as required. Becomes and remains familiar with other Legal Affairs Operational Support Systems to include, at a minimum MediTract.
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in a discipline related to the assigned area.
5+ years of combined healthcare, project/program management, and information systems analysis experience.
Experience with multi-disciplinary, complex projects and/or programs.
