The Government and Political Affairs department at times needs temporary, part-time Instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves. In the past, typical assignments for temporary part-time instructors have been introductory level survey courses in American Government, Global Politics, and Comparative Politics.
The Government and Political Affairs department offers a B.A. in Government and Political Affairs. The interdisciplinary International Studies program is also housed in the Department of Government and Political Affairs.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
Master’s degree in Political Science.
Prior college-level Government or Political Science teaching experience.
Evidence of ability to successfully teach students of diverse populations.
Successful interview and teaching demonstration.
Three successful background checks: Act 34 (Criminal Record Check); Act 114 (FBI Federal Criminal History-Fingerprinting); and Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance).
