This position is an expert and advisor in the development of data collection, data housing, reporting and assessment commensurate with formal academic pursuits.
This position is responsible for connecting technical expertise with the assessment, evaluation and communication needs of the department and campus.
This position contributes directly to the accurate management of department information.
This position will play an important role in monitoring the departments contributions to university strategic objectives and the department's progress in achieving its goals.
Must know electronic computer programming; electronic data processing equipment and its capabilities; principles and techniques of studying work processes for new or revised electronic computer applications; principles of designing methods of processing data; technical report writing; and application of algorithms and mathematical modeling.
Ability to write complex programs and develop detailed program specifications; analyze data and situations, reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions and develop effective solutions.
Bachelor's degree with a major in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data analytics, data science, database management, data administration or a degree in business administration with emphasis on information systems.
Three to four years experience in computer programming; electronic data processing equipment, principles and techniques of studying work processes for new or revised computer applications; principles of designing methods of processing data; technical report writing; and application of algorithms and mathematical modeling.
Expert level experience with Handshake, Qualtrics, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel
