Site Director (1804659) – Gordon, GA
Where the Chemistry Happens
As the Site Director for our Middle Georgia manufacturing site, you will be responsible for all aspects of site management. You will have direct reporting responsibility for manufacturing, technical operations, operational excellence and QA/QC, with administrative or oversight responsibilities for support services. The Site Director is accountable for employee safety, site performance and maintaining the license to operate. You must maintain strong relations with the community and government entities involved in permitting and overall license to operate, as well as with key industry associations.

Driving key decisions for the business, you will set site strategy, goals and action plans in line with business objectives, corporate initiatives and global strategies.
You will achieve annual safety, financial and productivity targets agreed with management
Your extensive plant operations experience and solid competencies in continuous improvement orientation and application of technology will be a valued asset as you direct staff in close cooperation with the Leadership Team, service functions, and global groups; y ou will direct and lead safety and environmental programs to minimize or eliminate accidents, incidents and violations.
Leveraging your strong leadership experience, you will drive the Site teams to meet and/or exceed customer expectations regarding product design, cost, and quality; you will Interface with supply chain and the business to prioritize production and ensure reliable, quality supply to customers.
Through your educational background and significant professional experience in manufacturing and operations environments, you will ensure that KPIs are set and monitored for cost, capital, raw material usage, analytical data, production, finished product packaging and transportation; you will ensure the hiring, development, training and retention of the workforce and foster collaboration with the Bargaining Unit to ensure harmonious industrial relations.
As a role model, you will build and develop talent through stretch goal-setting, accountability, and executing succession planning; you will c reate a working environment based on BASF's Mission, Vision and Value Statement that fosters teamwork, empowering site employees to achieve maximum results.
