Job Summary: The Contracts Administrator is responsible for all contractual activities between the company and all other parties, clients (government and commercial), vendors, contractors and teaming partners, and advises as to company responsibilities under proposed and ongoing contractual relationships.
Responsible for conducting the preparation, negotiation, acceptance and management of company contracts and subcontracts.
Demonstrates experience and understanding of the FAR/DFAR and FFP, CPFF, and T&M contract types.
Regularly works with management staff to provide leadership for the company to ensure contract compliance.
Ensures statutory compliance of all federal rules and regulations.
Coordinate with the Executive Management team on special projects as assigned.
Develop a clear understanding of customer and program requirements that harmonize with the company’s business strategy to ensure contract structure and business terms are aligned with both.
Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Recommend changes, additions, and deletions to the contract structure to ensure accurate reflection of customer requirements and alignment with the company’s program strategy and risk mitigation.
Negotiate profit and provide profit justification to the customer, ensuring that the profit/fee is consistent with and appropriate for the contract type, identified program risks, market standards, internal investment requirements, and working capital considerations.
Identify business risks associated with contract in partnership with mission assurance.
Ensure flow down of required terms and conditions to subcontractors and that subcontractor terms and conditions are appropriate for the work being performed in relation to the prime contract.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
B.S. in Business Administration or related field
2-6 years of experience in Government Contracting and Contract Management with full understanding of Government funding process
Positive communication and intrapersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office – specifically Excel
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
Working knowledge of the laws and regulations specific to government contracting including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Experience in CostPoint
Experience working with a Collective Bargaining Units a plus
Knowledge of the Contractor Purchase System Review (CPSR) process
Courses and certifications through NCMA and DAU a plus
