Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Independent Model Review Manager.
Assure quality and efficiency of review process as well as, to act as subject matter expert.
Lead junior staff on own area of expertise as required during the course of a model review project or through internal training initiatives.
Drive Independent Model Review policy and framework development and to be accountable for regulatory compliance across Asia Pacific as it relates to Independent Model Review
Independent review and validate various types of credit risk models, operation risk models, and or wealth management models.
Responsible for supporting the Regional Head of Independent Model Review in the execution of Independent Model Reviews global vision and strategy for Asia Pacific.
Ensure good communication with stakeholders and global counterparts.
Delivering clear and coherent messages to the Business and other stakeholders on quantitative issues and reviews.
Post graduate degree in Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
Ability to form effective relationships across the modelling teams and model governance authorities in the organization.
Master review skills and familiar with regulatory requirement for risk models.
Ability to lead change, contributing to joining up with the other teams in Independent
Model Review area globally.
Experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithm would be a definitive advantage.
Strong programming skills, for example SAS, VBA, R, Mathlab
