This faculty position will develop, modify, and teach up to 12 credits per semester of core undergraduate and graduate lecture and hands-on laboratory courses in the areas of food safety/law, food processing, product development, and senior design in the Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences. This includes laboratory-based courses for which the faculty member will train, supervise, and mentor teaching assistants. Courses may be designed and delivered in face-to-face, on-line, and blended education formats. This position will participate actively in curriculum development and assessment as well as in undergraduate student recruiting and coordinating internship experiences for students.

Requires doctor’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively is required
Two or more years of relevant work experience is desired (e.g. teaching, post-doc, industry or government, etc.)
Ability to coordinate the activities of teaching assistants and support staff
Familiarity with teaching technology, methodology, and assessment is desired
