Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of assistant director of financial aid. Under the direction of the director of financial aid, the assistant director will oversee functional areas of the Financial Aid office and assist in administering programs to ensure federal regulations and institutional goals are met.
Performs data integration between various financial aid management systems
Manages the FAFSA verification process
Responsible for creating and implementing the communications for the Financial Aid office
Prepares award letters for students
Advises students and parents of financial aid awards and financing options
Coordinates and develops consumer information for Enrollment Management, including documents, forms, publications and electronic media.
Performs other duties as assigned by the director of financial aid.
Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience in a college financial aid office related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Experience with institutional awarding strategies for meeting recruiting and retention goals.
Knowledge of federal Title IV financial aid programs and of federal and state policies and regulations governing the various financial aid programs, to be compliant in awarding and advising students.
Working knowledge of financial aid management systems, PowerFAIDS preferred.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, student-centered, creative and versed in cultural diversity.
