Mills-Peninsula Health Services is part of the Peninsula Coastal Region of Sutter Health, a family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations in Northern California that share resources and expertise to advance health care quality. We are in need of Psychiatric Social Workers in our Behavioral Health department.
Psychiatric social worker I functions as a professional clinical social worker responsibility for clinical duties: psychosocial assessment, treatment plan development, discharge planning, family education and treatment, leads psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups. Psychiatric social worker II is responsible for all above duties plus: serves as team lead for multidisciplinary team, responsible for day to day functioning of PHP and IOP programs, functions as resource person in a specialized area of treatment, manages intake into the programs and supervises unlicensed staff and students. Positions require licensure or registration as Associate in the state of CA with licensure in two years. Preference for candidates with group therapy experience as well as experience with acute psychiatric population.
