- Asia Pacific Legal provides legal, regulatory, litigation and franchise governance support to all of Citi's businesses in the region as a single, unified department. Hong Kong, Singapore and Mumbai serve as the regional hubs for various legal teams.
- The Regional Markets & Securities Services (M&SS) Legal Department is based in the hubs and provides legal advisory and documentation support for fixed income, currency, rates, derivatives, commodities, futures & clearing, prime finance, equities sales and trading businesses, structured products and solutions businesses, spread products, custody, fund administration and trustee services.
Job Description
- The person will be part of the Regional M&SS Legal team (based in Singapore) that is responsible for fixed income, currency, rates, derivatives, structured products and solutions businesses, and spread products.
- The person will report directly to the head of legal coverage for these areas but will be expected to cover all the requirements of the Singapore and Hong Kong based team (including providing advice on legal and regulatory matters and litigation management).
- Day to day functions will involve business development, transactional and advisory work, documentation and participation in industry based initiatives.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 4 - 8 years of work experience. Fresh graduates with a strong interest in derivatives, may apply
- Relevant experience in a top tier law firm, financial institution or investment fund/firm
- Financial regulatory experience and, in particular, familiarity with Singapore and/or Hong Kong regulatory requirements is an advantage
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- A strong team player who is confident, possesses initiative and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and interact with people of all levels
- Strong transaction management skills and cross-border transactional experience
