Team Profile With offices across the globe, including NY, London, Hong Kong, Glasgow, Budapest and Montreal, the Enterprise Technology Risk (ETR) Function is responsible for managing and mitigating risk for the EI, TIR and QAPM organizations. This Glasgow based role, sits within the Central ETR function and works in partnership across the technology organization, providing governance and co-ordination. The role is global in nature with colleagues and key stakeholders based in locations across the world. The successful candidate will build relationships across different regions and time zones to deliver the Central ETR program of work.
Technology Environment The environment which is overseen by the ETR Management function covers the technology stack upon which the rest of the firm depends and includes: - CI & EUT: datacentre, operating systems (Windows and Unix), database management systems, storage and backups, web technologies, voice and data networks across the distributed and mainframe environments; - QAPM: QA and Production support, change management, disaster recovery and BCP, capacity management; - TIR: application security, system security, enterprise security, access management, vendor management, technology governance.
Primary Responibilities Reporting to the Head of Risk Assessments & Entitlements, the ideal candidate will be able to: - Provide oversight on delivery of risk assessments from initial scoping through to execution, identification of gaps, and remediation of issues; - Provide support on managing risks through their lifecycle, from identification through to mitigation and closure, including gap analysis and stakeholder engagement. - Contribute towards delivery of other focus areas for Enterprise Technology Risk (ETR) including entitlements management, policy planning and workshops. - Provide assistance on tooling requirements. - Support other activities within the team such as external audit engagement and entitlements reviews. - Work collaboratively with the risk management function and key stakeholders.
Skills required - You will have an awareness of how risk assessments are performed in a technical environment. - An awareness and understanding of Risk & Control frameworks used in the financial industry. (e.g. COBIT, NIST) - Strong experience within the financial industry, or a relevant degree qualification and some experience. - Experience of how to create reports and how to appropriately present information to your manager. - Strong data analysis skills with strong knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulae etc) - Comfortable with working on multiple streams of work concurrently. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to build and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation and leverage this to achieve work-related objectives.
Skills desired - Experience of management and oversight of technology risks - Project Management experience. - Experience of working in an Investment Banking environment. - Experience of auditing within technical environments.
