* Leading workshops with multiple stakeholders to define process flows and assign data ownership for any of the data sets which are relevant to M&G Prudential. * Centrally manage, author and develop the data governance artefacts, advancing and promoting their utilisation across the organisation. * Chairing cross-business unit data forums to drive data governance, seek alignment and consistencies and manage issues and exceptions. * Undertaking data analysis, documenting findings and gaining cross-business unit agreement for business data definitions and data quality rules. * Supporting data owners in their adoption of ownership roles, and in ensuring compliance to policies, standards and best practices. * Acting as an advocate for effective data management practices, championing and enforcing adherence within the project environment. * Contributing to the delivery of all project artefacts, supporting the implementation of Digital technologies, master data sourcing/storage and the delivery of data which supports the investment process, our clients and the regulator. * Working with the project teams and business areas to ensure effective communication plans are in place with regards to the reporting and escalation of the data governance development.
What we are looking for:
You will have knowledge of Data Governance practices, principles and best practice implementations across the Financial Services industry. It is essential for you to have experience in a business facing / stakeholder management role and a good understanding of the multiple data sets which are relevant to Asset Management. You will have a good understanding of various asset classes, and the financial and reference data which supports these. Experience working in Asset Management data centric projects with a strong data analysis background is required. Ideally this will include working within significant change programmes to deliver master data management, and the distribution of data to clients. You will have an appreciation of the capabilities which Digital technologies, Data Science, and analytics can bring to the Financial Services industry, along with the impact of the regulatory landscape. As well as this, an appreciation of the multiple data sets which are relevant to the Insurance business is also needed. You will have an appreciation of Data Quality best practices and an appreciation of market data vendors and services.
A relevant qualification such as IOC / IMC, or those in Data Analysis and Change Projects is needed for this role.
