Provide post-award support to faculty in the College of Computer and Information Science (CCIS). The Grant Administrator's primary responsibility will be to assist 50+ faculty with grant management and compliance under Federal and University guidelines. The grants administrator will work with faculty, Deans, other members of the grants team, The Office of Research Administration and Finance (ORAF), accounts payable, accounting, student employment and other departments as needed.
Post-award responsibilities will entail accounting and administrative support to faculty including monthly monitoring of research activity, providing projections and account analysis as needed, assist with payroll, agency reporting requirements/requests, review travel reimbursements, process journal vouchers. The Grants Administrator must be able to multi-task and provide professional support to faculty.
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or business administration required -2-4 years' accounting experience, with 2 years' experience in an academic environment with grant experience preferred -Understanding of federal/University grant operations, rates and regulations along with knowledge of relevant government regulations and university accounting procedures preferred -Knowledge of Federal Circulars, Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200, NIH, NSF, DARPA a plus -Computer literacy required, particularly spreadsheet software -Analytical skills, strong orientation to detail, ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects -Strong interpersonal communication skills and work ethic -Customer service experience preferred
