Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Staff Assistant for the Residential Supervised and Community Support Service Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Staff Assistant performs a wide variety of administrative and support services for the Residential Supervised and Community Support Service Program.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for providing administrative, computing and staff support for the programs.
Assists in maintaining department accounts, monitoring expenditures and ensuring compliance with budgets.
Responsible for managing documentation related to contracts and professional service agreements.
Coordinates and maintains the department calendar.
Receives and assists consumers and visitors and handles telephone calls in a tactful and professional manner.
Prepares timesheets for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) staff and monitors/reconciles accruals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field plus one (1) year of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Appointee will be required to possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position and to travel to different sites.
Demonstrated excellent computer, communication, customer service and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
Knowledge of procurement procedures and policies.
