Full Time; Career Starting salary range is: $3,141.67 - $3,871.50 / monthly. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves planning, developing, implementing and advising on programs, services, activities and processes for students in their non-academic life at the university, including residential life, public service, student conduct and judicial affairs, identity-based matters, sexual violence, leadership development, student government, student businesses, student organizations, and other student resource center areas.
Under the supervision of the SOMeCA Director and the Staff Evolution Subcommittee, this position will provide advising and administrative support for the student-initiated and student-governed programs of the Campus Sustainability Council/Student Environmental Center/Education for Sustainable Living Program. These programs guide the UCSC community towards the use of sustainable (environmentally-and social-responsible) practices on-campus. Specific responsibilities include: Advising & Oversight for Student Organizations, Financial Management, Leadership Development, Administration, Supervision.
SOMeCA (SOAR/Student Media/Cultural Arts & Diversity' fosters student success through inclusive and educationally purposeful services and programs, including campus wide Student Organizations, Student Media, Cultural Arts and Diversity, and Student Union facilities.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
Demonstrated experience assimilating a broad knowledge of complex laws, policies, and procedures and applying them with consistency to varied circumstances.
Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relations with students, faculty, and staff.
Experience employing a participatory leadership and management style.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
