Position Summary The International Student Advisor supports the mission of Baylor University by assisting eligible international students and scholars with U.S. Immigration procedures and documents in order to maintain status throughout their time at the University including:
Assisting students and scholars with procedures and documentation required for F and J status
Advising students and scholars regarding their responsibilities for maintaining status and benefits eligibility
Staying current on immigration policy and procedures (DHS, DOS, USCIS, SEVP, CBP, ICE)
Helping students and scholars in their transition to Baylor University and the U.S.
Collaborating and communicating with campus partners to provide a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree, minimum of 2 years of professional work experience and a Christian faith is required. A Master's degree and four years of relevant work experience are preferred. Experience using SEVIS and/or serving as a Designated School Official is preferred.
