Administrative Assistant needed to serve Veterans and military family members in the Stephen A. Cohen Military Family Clinic located in the Department of Psychiatry. The Cohen Clinic at Penn provides free evidence-based behavioral health care (including talk therapy, psychiatry, and case management) to veterans and military family members.
Under general supervision by the Clinic Director, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all front desk activities related to the clinic including receiving and scheduling patients/clients, scanning, faxing, entering measures, maintaining transportation options for Clients; creating insurance claims and assisting with verification, posting patients payments and reconciling daily cash. The Administrative Assistant will also have opportunities to help with ordering for supplies, meeting room management, and learn Penn financial and resource management systems, under the support of our Office Manager, in scope with role and duties. Telephone support including triage of calls, reminder calls, call-backs and maintaining accurate documentation within the Medical Record System of all Client contact and activities related to scheduling.
