The Department of Accounting is seeking faculty for a tenure-track position in accounting. All candidates will be considered for the rank of Assistant Professor. All areas of the discipline will be considered. The tenure-track position may begin Spring 2019 or Fall 2019.
Candidates are expected to:
Provide instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
Update course materials
Deliver instruction both online and on any of the university campuses
Be committed to effective teaching
Instructional duties may include teaching during the day, in the evening, or on Saturday
Conduct scholarly activities including professional research
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Work cooperatively with others
Contribute service to the discipline, the university, and the community
Facilitate a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and ability to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
Have an understanding and knowledge of multicultural and diversity issues, and their potential applications to pedagogy, programming, and service activity
Other duties as required
Ph..D. or DBA in Accounting or completion of the AACSB Post-Doctoral Bridge Program with an emphasis in any of the following:
Accounting Information Systems
Minimum of 18 hours in graduate level accounting from an accredited university
Meet theAACSBstandards for âœScholarly Academicâ.
Candidates will be considered if they:
Have a specialized graduate degrees in taxation or a combination of graduate degrees in law and accounting
Are ABD but degree must be conferred on or before January 15th for Spring and on or before August 15th for Fall appointments.
Terminal academic credentials from an AACSB accredited institution
One or more of the following designations: CPA, CFE, CIA,CMA, or CFF
