The Computer Science Department at Framingham State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to begin in September 2019. The candidate must be able to teach introductory and advanced courses in Computer Science and be willing to create active and collaborative learning environments in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced web technologies, java programming, UNIX system administration, security. Ability to teach Windows system administration and mobile application development using cell phones is a plus. The candidate is expected to develop a research program that involve active collaboration with undergraduate students. Other responsibilities include student advising, and participation in curriculum development, program and course assessment, and departmental and university governance.
Ph.D. in Computer Science or Information Technology by September 1, 2019
Experience with, or a demonstrated willingness to, participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the MSCA bargaining unit at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with Appendix O of the Massachusetts State College Association (union) contract.
