Conduct all aspects of external collaborations with strategic partners, including pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions and government. Able to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts and ensure appropriate internal stakeholder buy-in and support for collaborations. Work with research leadership to develop strategic areas of focus for research, create research strategies and develop business plans for specific opportunities. Understand the technology transfer process and assist with developing and implementing a technology transfer process, including ability to identify early stage innovation and develop a business framework for these early opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders in Inova and amongst its strategic partners. Leading cross functional teams evaluating and conducting due diligence on identified opportunities.
10 years of job related experience including management experience ( clinical and translational research, health care product d evelopment, b usiness), preferably in top tier academic institution. Strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, technology transfer, and/ or pharma/biotech business development required. Strong project management skills.
