Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Staff Assistant for the Administration Office at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Staff Assistant performs a wide variety of secretarial and administrative support for University Behavioral Health Care's Administrative Office; has administrative responsibility for fiscal matters and purchasing; serves as liaison with other departments within UBHC and Rutgers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Responsible for providing administrative, computing and staff support for the Office.
Serves as liaison between the Office and other departments in the University System.
Manages calendars for managerial staff and utilization of conference rooms.
Provides high-level administrative assistance.
Provides support in conjunction with relevant meetings. Initiates clear and concise correspondence, minutes and reports which are free of typographical and grammatical errors.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field plus one (1) year of professional level experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office.
Must be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Microsoft Office experience.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Appointee will be required to possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position and to travel to different sites.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
Demonstrated knowledge of PeopleSoft and procurement policies and procedures.
