Assist Digital Sandbox KC in coordinating marketing efforts, events, communications and scheduling with applicants, data collection and grant report generation and miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Write, edit and produce material for print and web, including blog posts, newsletters, brochures, proposals, white papers, news releases, entrepreneurial profiles.
Coordinate marketing efforts and communications on a variety of projects.
Update and edit website material.
Provide marketing support across digital platforms, including website and social media to support marketing and communications initiatives.
Assist with the coordination of various events, including event setup logistics; registration; communication; promotion; speaker coordination; etc. Schedule pitch sessions including evaluation team and applicants.
Create and curate content for marketing collateral, press releases, email and social media campaigns.
Conduct data collection and accurately input company metrics for reporting purposes.
Write grant reports as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills We're looking for someone with solid communication skills across various channels who has:
Ability to successfully handle multiple competing projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment, with little direct supervision
Ability to adapt to writing tone and voice of our organization and for different audiences
Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts
Strong interview and research skills
Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
Ability to work well independently, and within a team
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations or Marketing or equivalent work experience in content development, copywriting and/or marketing
Proven ability to write compelling copy; excellent proofreading and editing skills
Demonstrated event management
Ability to manage multiple and often competing projects
Passion for data-driven decision making
Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new technology
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
