Commercial Banking (CB) AML/KYC Exam Management is responsible for managing Engagements (e.g. regulatory exams, internal/external audits and Compliance tests and monitoring) globally for the Commercial Banking KYC Program. This position offers the opportunity to build out a regional CB Exam Management team, interacting across the global firmwide KYC program with Corporate and local LOB Compliance, Corporate Exam Management, Internal Audit, CB BOE teams, the KYCO organization and cross-LOB Control and Operations partners. This position manages a caseload of KYC Engagements and regulatory reporting activities in adherence to protocols established for pre-exam preparation, on-site facilitation, post exam processes and regulatory requests. Key responsibilities include Engagement coordination, requesting and reviewing materials/data procurement, preparation for regulatory meetings, management reporting, request intake and issue identification. This position will also utilize subject matter expertise to develop written responses to Engagement requests.
Effectively manage a caseload of regulatory Engagements including regulatory examinations, internal and external audits and Compliance tests and monitoring activities.
Help maintain an active dialogue and enhance CB's KYC program in region.
Review Engagement information requests and, in a timely and effective manner, prepare sample KYC files and responses, or coordinate with subject matter experts to collect, review and submit responses.
Prepare bankers and local CB employees for interviews.
Prepare substantial written responses to inquiries, advocating when necessary on behalf of Commercial Banking by applying the facts of each matter to the applicable laws or regulations at issue.
Manage the entire lifecycle of regional Engagements.
Review and approve regional regulatory reporting requests.
Proactively review the Engagement calendar and other factors to ensure CB is prepared for potential regulatory review.
Ensure that all issues and concerns highlighted during the Engagement, including those not included on the final report, are reviewed and addressed, and that action plans are developed, completed, and tested to address root cause.
Partner with the broader team to identify and analyze trends and remediation plans that are identified across multiple Engagements and then work with business and other partners to ensure they are appropriately and consistently addressed.

Prior exam management experience preferred.

Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint); advanced user knowledge of excel required.
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Compliance, Risk/Controls or Audit within a Corporate Banking business of a financial institution.
