The Director of Finance & Administration for the NC Nursery & Landscape Association is responsible for the financial operations and administrative functions of the association.
Establishes and maintains the chart of accounts to ensure adequacy of accounting practices, proper handling of funds, appropriate level of internal controls and timely reporting to government agencies;
Processes all accounts receivable/payable and develops/maintains cash flow projections;
Maintains all payroll records and processes monthly payroll;
Identifies and recommends sources of grant funding to benefit NCNLA and the green industry;
Assists the EVP in maintaining/updating the association's employee benefits package;
Reviews and provides initial approval for all vendor contracts;
Works directly with the association's Finance Committee to provide monthly financial reports to the board of directors;
Coordinates preparation of annual budget;
Arranges annual independent audit of association's financial operations; and
Performs other financial and/or administrative tasks as necessary.
