EI Enterprise Services (ENS) controls Morgan Stanley's wide area networks, local area networks, telephony, trading turrets, voice recording with End User Computing, cellular networks globally. The team operates across 1300 locations in 43 countries and manages several hundred additional client, exchange and market data connections.
Support and troubleshoot the global network, including routing & switching, wireless, WAN acceleration, optical transport, leveraging multiple vendors and technology areas
Covering Data Center, WAN, Campus & Branch, Market Data, Client Connectivity
Provide on-call cover as well as some weekend execution work
Provide technical authority and operational acceptance for designs from the Project Engineering team
This role will require some weekend work.
Good communication and organisational skills
An excellent knowledge of data networking principles
Excellent TCP/IP knowledge with the ability to inspect packet captures to advance level and work with other infrastructure teams
Ability to prioritise along with good time management skills
Flexible and adaptable to meet the team's changing needs
Ability to use typical Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and Outlook, Visio
Base level understanding of UNIX or Linux (not critical)
Instrumentation (user level): CA Spectrum 10, Microfocus NA, SevOne, Splunk, Cisco Prime
CCNP certification or equivalent level experience
