Basic Function & Responsibilities: This position participates in the master's student recruitment for Missouri S&T and coordinates all activities in the graduate enrollment funnel from student inquiry to enrollment.
The ideal candidate will spend 10-20% of their time traveling to various fairs and other events.
Research, register, and plan travel arrangements for graduate school and career fairs at other institutions. Attend fairs/school visits and solicit students interested in graduate school.
Meet educate, gather information from, and follow up digitally with prospective applicants.
Organize presentations about graduate school on S&T's campus to professional and honors organizations at their general meetings, to senior design and capstone courses, and through events sponsored on campus.
Advise and assist prospective students by explaining graduate programs and relevant admissions requirements.
Work closely with the academic units to exchange ideas, solicit input and feedback regarding targeted graduate recruitment.
Implement plans for realization of annual graduate recruitment targets and provide monthly written and verbal reports for the same.
Coordinate prospective student recruiting events including application processes, faculty and student outreach, and full creation and implementation of each event or program. Assist in the organization of current student events as needed.
Create and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards for various recruiting events and programs.
Use the graduate application review and management software (Slate) for tracking and communicating with prospective students, faculty, and staff.
Advise prospective applicants with inquiries and requests about and throughout the application process; from creation to decision.
Work closely with other departments on campus (i.e. International Affairs and Distance Education) to provide of applicants with a timely decision and processing of deferrals.
Work closely with academic department staff and coordinators to process graduate application files.
Work with Admissions to finalize the admit/deny decision in Slate and Peoplesoft, to provide timely admit/denial communications.
Develop and maintain standard digital and print marketing/promotional materials for all graduate programs at S&T.
Create and use various print and electronic media to raise graduate and research visibility of Missouri S&T.
Use Slate to send marketing materials through Drip Marketing Campaign.
Create and maintain automated emails from The Office of Graduate Studies and from the academic departments.
Distribute promotional material on our campus, locally, and to other institutions.
Maintain working knowledge of fellowships and funding available to qualifying students.
Build agendas, take minutes, and send out action items for recruiting team meetings.
Work with the Admission's Visitor's Center to organize visits for prospective MS students.
Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor and/or Dean of Graduate Studies.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
¿ A bachelor's degree is required.
Master's degree is preferred
Excellent communication skills and teamwork preferred.
