Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Space Management, the Space and Move Analyst will assist in the implementation of the campus’ space planning program, coordination of campus-wide use of space and physical facilities, to include move management and maintaining furniture database systems. Provides analysis in response to both California State University system-wide requirements, and characteristics that are particular to CSUMB, including the Campus Master Plan, enrollment targets, technologies, new construction and building renovations. As primary contact for all move coordination, the successful candidate must be customer services and detail oriented.
ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plans and manages moves that are either outsourced or performed by University movers in accordance with CSU system-wide requirements and consideration of the CSUMB Campus Master Plan.
Coordinates various on-campus services necessary for reconfigurations. Coordinates with university staff in preparing itemized furniture, and equipment lists. Coordinates and tracks assigned purchases, in conjunction with users and purchasing offices.
Maintains and allocates the surplus furniture inventory while analyzing and assessing campus needs to provide recommendations accordingly.
Plans, prepares layouts, compiles furniture and equipment lists for projects, manages procurement, and outsourced installation of new or existing systems furniture.
Updates AutoCAD facility files and provides AutoCAD support to the department. Prepares presentation materials and maps using graphics and/or desktop publishing software. Coordinates and assists in system reporting requirements.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
General knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

The person holding this position is considered a “mandated reporter” under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
This position will have a duty to report to the Campus Title IX Officer information pertaining to victims of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating/domestic violence, and stalking as required by CSU Executive Order 1095.
This position has been designated as a sensitive position with responsibility for the care, safety and security of people (including children and minors), animals and CSU property and responsibility or access/possession of building master or sub-master keys for building access.
Must possess and maintain a valid license to drive in the State of California, pass the Defensive Training Class, and be insurable under the University’s liability coverage.
Office environment with standard equipment and tasks. Position requires working at a computer and desk for extended periods of time. May require travel between campus offices and off-campus locations.
Compensation and Benefits:
