Fitch Ratings' newly created Model Development Team is looking for a quantitative analyst at the Associate Director level to help develop and enhance models used in Fitch's rating analysis, focusing primarily on structured finance and covered bond sectors.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to team up with other talented specialists to design, implement, test and document various models including default and cash flow models. Throughout these projects, you will be able to gain valuable credit modelling experience, a good understanding of credit rating methodology as well as model governance framework and the regulatory environment.
Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or other quantitative disciplines
Extensive and solid quantitative and financial modelling experience in C++, VBA
Experience in Python, R, XML or database is a plus
Ability to solve problems using critical, rational and creative thinking
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey technical modelling concepts
Self-motivation and ability to manage timelines across multiple projects
Thorough attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Previous exposure to credit rating analysis or credit modelling a plus
