The Associate Provost of Accreditation, Assessment, and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the Provost’s chief advisor and representative in matters related to institutional and professional accreditation, assessment and institutional effectiveness. The Associate Provost has responsibility for providing oversight, innovative, collaborative and strategic leadership for the planning, development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of university initiatives, programs and structures that support the faculty and academic programs along with the direct management of Accreditation, Assessment, and Institutional Effectiveness personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and expertise to facilitate curricular and co-curricular assessment efforts, ensure compliance with accreditation standards and deepen the culture of assessment that supports KCU’s mission and strategic plan
Oversees the measurement of performance and student learning outcomes to ensure institutional effectiveness
Partners with multiple constituencies within the University and beyond to commit, promote, and foster an environment of inclusion that facilitates access of underrepresented students, faculty and staff
Plans, organizes, coordinates and directs institutional research projects, activities and operations
PhD, EdD, DO or other appropriate terminal degree
At least five years of academic administrative experience
Experience as a faculty member preferred
Exceptional leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff and administrators from varied disciplines and backgrounds including collegial consensus-building
Experience in the development and implementation of innovative organizational and academic growth initiatives
Proven experience managing and leading academic assessment activities
Deep understanding of policies and processes associated with institutional and professional accreditation
Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Highly developed technological and analytical acumen
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
