We are seeking an Interior Architect/Designer who is passionate about design excellence, sustainability and high performance design projects. We’ve learned that a person with a passion for client relations and thought leadership is a good fit for this position. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in interior architecture, interior design, or architecture. While this position is based in our Kansas City office, the role will also support projects in our San Diego office so a willingness to travel is essential.
Experience must show essential design ability, a strong creative design portfolio, and a strong technical knowledge of interior systems that would be required by corporate, higher education, government, K-12 and mixed-use projects.

Facilitation of project visioning and programming effort with clients
Clear organization and presentation of results
Application of knowledge gathered during programming into design solutions through all phases
Leadership from schematics to detailing and construction
Production of strong work
Cultivation of client relationships
Leadership in project interview process including generation of interview material as part of an integrated team
Mentorship of young leaders and team members
Ideal candidates have 5 to 10 years of experience however, filling this role will not be determined by experience alone; we are looking for the right fit for our team with the following skills and characteristics:
Critical design thinking throughout the design process
Proficiency in Revit and other 3-D imaging design software
Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
A collaborator with leadership and client liaison experience
Well-established skills coordinating team efforts
A deadline and detail-oriented work ethic
Product research, selection, and detailing
Project leadership from opportunity to concept all the way through CDs
FF&E design and specifications
LEED AP is preferred
