Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes nine primary care sites, 33 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Early Learning Network Coordinator!
The Sunset Park Early Learning Network Manager will bring a community organizing background to lead and coordinate the Early Learning Network, a coalition of early learning programs, including center and family based as well as home visiting, who work together to increase quality and capacity or early childhood services in the neighborhood. This is a full-time position.
Facilitate the operations of the Early Learning Network (ELN), developing and supporting a learning community for program directors and staff, growing the network to include additional early childhood providers, and staying abreast of early childhood public policy and city funding
Collaborate with ELN members and Community Programs leadership on strategic planning to expand the reach and impact of the Network on Sunset Park’s early childhood providers and families
Facilitate and coordinate monthly meetings with the ELN members
Recruit, hire and supervise the Networks’ Developmental and School-Readiness coach
Coordinate the Early Learning Network professional development series in collaboration with training partners
Work with development team on fundraising and grant development. This includes site visits, grant and report writing, and program development
Cultivate new and nurture existing relationships with partner organizations. Link ELN members to services based on needs identified
Work with the Data Research Analyst to develop a uniform metrics to measure impact and outcomes across different program models
Experience in community coordination and outreach
Spanish language proficiency
Strong facilitation skills
Interest in working with immigrant communities
Concentration community development or related field
Background knowledge of or strong interest in early childhood education (0-5 years old) and the landscape of early childhood services in New York City
Knowledge of the Sunset Park community
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
