Based in Singapore, serving the APAC region, the Application Services Delivery (ASD) Production Engineer is a member of the Global Technology support team, supporting the rapidly growing Wealth Management business. The Global Support team has regional teams in the US, EMEA and APAC.
You will be part of the Level 2 systems-facing support team responsible for complex technical and business requests passed from the Level 1 business facing support team known as the BSC (Business Service Center)
You will be working in an Agile DevOps model with Architecture, Operations, Application Development and Infrastructure Engineers.
You will proactively develop reusable patterns/solutions and enhance the health and performance of our global platforms and identify/solve chronic technical issues.
You will proactively drive technical stability and performance of the applications in the wealth management portfolio.
You will combine software and systems engineering to support applications in physical, virtual and cloud environment that automate fault detection, containment and resolution without customer impact or human intervention.
You will be responsible for developing solutions for metrics and event collection/correlation across distributed architectures, automation, monitoring, intelligent alerting, random fault injection and self-healing.
You will work with the business teams on complex issues around the business processes as well the technology being used.
You will work closely with the with the development teams to find solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner. This will involve creating detailed and clear defects and change requests and reviewing them with development partners.
You will be responsible for tracking defect and change request progress and communicating progress on requests and issues to the BSC support team and technology management.
You will be responsible for constantly reviewing the efficiency of support processes in the BSC and ASD support teams.
You will be responsible for constructing MIS for technology management using Excel.
You may be occasionally requested to write database extracts, assist in the construction of spreadsheet applications and manage or perform small tactical developments.

Knowledge Requirements Experience in a technology application support role or a service delivery role, particularly in the financial sector is essential. Extensive experience within the front-office space, knowledge of the financial products and core banking processes is also required.
You have a minimum of 5 years experience in an application support, technology support or in a service delivery role
You have excellent knowledge of financial products and core banking processes.
You are comfortable working with users and business teams to understand complex issues and provide solutions.
You have an awareness and exposure to software development practices and methodologies and change management methodologies.
You have strong technical skills especially in the use of SQL, plus expertise in a number of the following preferred products - Sybase, Oracle, MS Excel, Perl, Unix scripting.
Experience in following areas is desired but not mandatory
Hands on experience with cloud based applications, Java, web technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, FluentD, Slack, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
Relational and NoSQL databases; developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging and DB services such as Cassandra, MQ/JMS/Kafka, Aurora, RDS, Cloud SQL, BigTable, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cloud Spanner, Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc.
