Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office is hiring for the position of Assistant County Attorney, Attorney II. This is a full-time, exempt position, primarily assigned to perform civil and post-conviction legal work for Pottawattamie County. Provides civil legal advice to the county elected officials, department heads and appointed boards on issues such as open meetings, county policies, real estate matters, contracts, employment and general civil litigation.
Graduation from an accredited school of law and licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa. Must be in good standing with Office of Professional Responsibility and the Iowa Supreme Court. Minimum of five (5) years' experience as general counsel and/or civil litigation.
