UW Medicine Finance is seeking an Analyst, Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM), UW Medicine. This individual will be responsible for managing the daily activities related to managing the reporting related to the enterprise project portfolio. This person will be part of a new group responsible for creating an EPM function at UW Medicine. The EPM Analyst will work with the Senior Director, EPM to create and establish new workflows, processes, documentation and visualizations to support decision making by executives and senior leadership. The EPM Analyst will become a functional expert in the data feeds and reports/dashboards that support the EPM. This role will collaborate closely with the EPM Manager and other shared service teams (e.g., UW Medicine Finance, UW Medicine IT Services) on reporting solutions.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and maintain reporting/dashboards to provide portfolio visibility to key stakeholders for active and proposed products which include financial, strategic alignment, risk, probability of technical success, and probability of commercial success metrics.Lead, design, and architect the definition of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) information management principles, guidelines, patterns, and standards around quantitative data accuracy, reporting and measurements. Lead the development, training, and guidance of measurement process improvement concepts, methodologies, tools, and principles.Co-develop the PPM measurement roadmap for the analytical evaluation for projects, programs, and portfolios. Identify measurement and technology trends/benchmarks and evaluate their impact on the global enterprise-wide portfolio.Perform root cause, performance trend analysis and work simplification studies in order to develop appropriate measurement control changes. Analyze measurement/KPI standards and metrics to provide solutions for improvements. Review analysis findings to recommend appropriate changes in process, requirements or data approach. Survey and analyze leading best practice benchmarks for PPM techniques and processes. Create, update and maintain measurement related documentation. Develop documentation/templates that provide value-add decision data for projects, portfolios and leaders. Prioritize and implement measurement and data change requirements based on critical business need. Develop, use, and review work aids, such as process descriptions, checklists, templates and guides to assist users with PPM. Partner with project management to integrate scoring models through each of the process gates to ensure continuous alignment with business strategy and acts as a basis for gate evaluation. Lead and drive process and measurement improvement plans for PPM affecting multiple functions and/or systems. Identify and implement changes to corporate and organizational level PPM measurement processes to improve productivity and reduce risk.Support PPM end-users including providing system expertise and new user onboarding.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Science, or Engineering AND six years of portfolio management analytics experience to include deploying dashboards, reporting solutions, and preparing visuals/analysis for executive consumption.Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams to envision a different future state:-----Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.-----Demonstrated strength in data-based decision-making, analysis, influencing and storytelling.-----Experience in planning and managing cross-functional efforts.-----Experience generating business documentation such as building business cases, identifying personas, defining scenarios, narratives, and process flows.-----Proven experience in motivating high-performing individuals; creating inclusive and collaborative team environment.
