Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Vets4Warriors Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Program Coordinator works as a member of the call center leadership team to make decisions that will positively impact operations within the Vets4Warriors program and will interact with leaders at UBHC and external organizations, as needed.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Under supervision of the Senior Director, supervises all the day-to-day aspects of the Vets4Warriors program.
Represents the Senior Director at events and acts as the liaison to funding agencies, State and National military representatives, collaborating agencies, and referral sources as needed and/or required.
Supervises the activities and staff of the Vets4Warriors Peer Support Program serving veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserve Service Members, family members and caregivers.
Ensures the quality of the telephone-based counseling and crisis interventions are provided.
Assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a mental health discipline plus four (4) years of experience in the behavioral health field.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Experience working with veterans or military personnel.
Appointee will be required to possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position and to travel to different sites.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Psychologist preferred.
One (1) year of prior supervisory experience.
Veteran with Active Duty combat experience or family member of a veteran.
Must be available to occasionally work an off hour's shift, which may include weekends, overnights or evenings.
Travel throughout the United States may be required.
