Research Specialist Senior - Department of Neuroscience 10324
The West Virginia University Department of Neuroscience is seeking applications for a Research Specialist Senior. This position is responsible for supporting a variety of projects in partnership with neuroscientists specializing in Human Performance research.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Utilize EEG, EMG, EOG, eye-tracking and other physiological measures in basic and applied research applications
Human physiological, behavioral, performance, cognitive testing and data acquisition in various experimental conditions
Gold Standard testing of new sensor technologies
Biomarker based stress response testing in military, athletics, patients, and the general population
Stress response monitoring in laboratory and field environments
Master's degree in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years of post-educational experience in human subject physiological and behavioral data acquisition or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations
Ability to create, annotate and maintain detailed records
Demonstrated ability to operate a computer utilizing various software packages, including creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, etc.
Working knowledge of scientific research methods and Institutional Review Board policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively prepare and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients. and other employees of the organization
Ability to conduct data analytics and preparation of reports as required
