This exciting position is a strategic communications role positioned within the Organizational Development & Change (ODC) Team, within HR, reporting to the Manager of Change Management. The role is responsible for successful communication of “Change” and other HR initiatives at NYULMC.
Extensive writing of articles, stories, newsletters, memorandums, magazines for publication within HR and for an enterprise-wide audience in some instances. On various HR topics such as Benefits, Employee & Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, & Organizational Development & Learning.
Will have a focus on employee engagement and assisting the organization in achieving the designation of “Best Employer” as well as other potential engagement awards.
Coordination with and management of video production, design, and other videographer vendors as required, in collaboration with other in-house expertise as needed.
Ability to assist HR stakeholders in the development of organization facing communications to ensure consistency.
Responsible for maintaining the appropriate usage of branding and department identity on all communications disseminated from HR.
Coordinating, liaising and updating of the Editorial Calendar maintained in collaboration with Internal Communications.
Strategic planning of communication collateral with a keen eye towards ‘joining the dots’, and being thoughtful about saturation or information overload on various enterprise-wide change initiatives that have a similar focus.
Extensive collaboration across the HR teams and with Internal Communications to keep communication efforts aligned and standardized to a high quality of delivery.
3-5+ years in a similar communications role, preferably with HR and/or change-specific communication experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or related field or work experience.
Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Publisher, Snagit, Mail Chimp, Adobe Communications Suite, and other such tools.
High EQ in dealing with senior stakeholders in the organization to produce communication collateral.
Sensitivity to cultural expectations of the organization that can be challenging at times in a ‘change’ focused communications role.
Friendly and approachable in all internal faculty and staff encounters.
High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality with sensitive information.
Ability to provide advice and guidance while fostering collaboration.
Proficient copy editor with keen attention to detail.
Ability to produce collateral that is flexible to upload in SharePoint, the Mobile App, Email, hard copy etc.
Keen eye for innovative design to produce well positioned collateral that is consistent with brand guidelines
