We're hiring an IT Division Manager to plan, organize, and manage technology initiatives for the Health and Human Services line of business. Your key objective would be to ensure alignment between technology investments and strategic direction of the Health and Human Services line of business. We're seeking a leader who can lead with a diplomatic and inclusive mindset, incorporate vision and strategic planning to execute our long term goals, and strengthen the connection between the central IT department and the Health and Human Services area.
In this position, you would serve as the Business Information Officer and have a direct line to the Deputy County Administrator and the County's Chief Information Officer. You would also represent the Health and Human Services executive team on the Hennepin County Technology Leadership Team.
Location and hours: This position is located at the Hennepin County Government Center building in downtown Minneapolis, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487. Work hours will be primarily Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
In this position, you will:
Manage teams that provide IT solutions and support for Health and Human Services in alignment with county and state directions and standards
Develop and implement IT strategies that support business directions, including program operations and emerging innovations in service delivery, person-centered focus, data analytics, and increasing digital services
Develop and manage ITRM budget that reflects department priorities and cost-effective IT investments
Provide leadership based on principles and organizational best practices, including Agile methodologies and strengths-based management approaches
Participate in the countywide Technology Leadership Team, promote an inclusive culture that aligns with county core values

Need to have:
One of the following:
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, computer science, or closely related field, and five or more years of experience appropriate to the area of specialization, including three or more years at a managerial or supervisory level. Note: Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Nice to have:
Working with System Development Lifecycle methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
Managing a budget.
Creating and implementing strategic plans.
Working in the human services field.
