The Senior Solution Architect defines and communicates the system and business capabilities, services, technologies, quality attributes and design required to implement a solution which represents an intersection of MetLife’s Business, Information, Application, Governance and Technology domains on behalf of a business partner.
Participates in creating, analyzing and review of assigned architecture domain or solution architecture Participates on matrixed team projects as assigned Creates and maintains project, solution and enterprise architecture artifacts Collaborates with other architects to ensure integrity of assigned domain or solution Demonstrates a broad understanding of multiple technologies, reference architectures and business applications Participates in the development of horizontal solutions for projects Guides application development teams in validating and implementing proposed solutions Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access Facilitates business data analysis, acquisition and access analysis and design, DBMS optimization, archiving and recovery strategy, load strategy design, security and change management
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
3+ years IT experience 2 years application development and system development life cycle (SDLC) experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline Effective interpersonal and consultative skills with strong oral and written communication skills Understanding of one or more architectural disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Strong team player with the ability to interact with peers and senior management Ability to understand, analyze and apply abstract architectural concepts and to work simultaneously on multiple projects of varying complexity
