Credit Middle Office plays a pivotal role in supporting Morgan Stanley's Credit Department in credit risk analysis, limits monitoring and regulatory data submissions. The team is also responsible for credit data management, credit policy/procedure implementation, portfolio and single name monitoring (credit limits monitoring/reporting/escalation), and process change management. The Credit Middle Office team is currently seeking an Associate level candidate to join the team based in New York. The candidate must have strong business knowledge, technical skills, process management skills, and must be able to develop strong working relationships as he/she will work closely with several other areas (such as IT and Business Units). The ideal candidate will be someone that is persistent in pursuing process enhancements and efficiencies.
Primary Responsibilities · Assisting the team in meeting Regulatory Reporting requirements such as BIS I-I, FRY 14Q Counterparty Schedule L and Wholesale Risk Schedule H.1 (CCAR) · Assisting the team in the design, development, and implementation of system solutions supporting regulatory data submissions · Enhancing, implementing, and performing data quality control processes supporting regulatory data submissions · Preparing quarterly control reports and quarterly due diligence materials for Schedule L and Schedule H · Maintaining an active dialogue and acting as a liaison between Credit Coverage, Stress Testing teams, and IT in resolving data quality and system issues impacting regulatory data submission and stress testing initiatives · Ensuring Credit Regulatory submissions are in compliance with the CFOA Control Standards Policy · Supporting Credit Coverage team, Internal Audit, and Risk Process Validation Group for requests related to regulatory data submission
Skills Required · Strong proficiency with SQL and/or VBA · Familiarity with fixed income, equity, and other traded securities · Ability to manage dynamic priorities with attention to details · Ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Undergraduate degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering related areas Skills Preferred · Experience with the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) · Good working knowledge of databases · Experience in system development and project management Experience · 3+ years of experience in risk management, finance or IT (Required) · 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data quality control processes, and/or business process improvements (Required)
