The candidate's teaching load will include, but not limited to, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Management, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, and other areas in management.
The faculty member will be expected to prepare and teach a variety of Business Administration courses at the undergraduate level on the Bemidji State University campus as well as online graduate courses in an MBA program.
A strong commitment to quality teaching is required.
Because this position may require some courses to be taught online, the successful applicant must have the ability to design and deliver online courses with D2L Brightspace course management software or be willing to obtain the necessary skills for online course design and delivery.
In addition to teaching, department faculty members are responsible for advising and otherwise supporting students' academic progress.
Faculty members are also required to pursue scholarly and/or creative activities.
As a member of the Business Administration department, the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to a collegial and supportive environment that advances the goals of the department, including curriculum development, assessment, programmatic accreditation and other departmental governance activities.
The applicant should anticipate involvement with interdisciplinary teaching, particularly joint program development with Indigenous Studies faculty, and involvement in activities that support Bemidji State University's signature themes: environmental stewardship, civic engagement, global/multicultural understanding.
Candidates must have earned a terminal degree in Management or related area, or in Business Administration with concentration or specialization in Management or related area from a regionally accredited institution for tenure and promotion consideration. Candidates who will be ABD by time of appointment (8/20/2019) are eligible to apply.

Experience in developing and/or teaching interdisciplinary courses at the intersection of Business Administration and Indigenous Studies disciplines are a plus and will contribute to the strategic direction of the department and University.
Demonstrated experience working with and/or interest working with students and colleagues from multi-cultural and diverse backgrounds and using culturally responsive pedagogy and practice.
