Department Profile Client Reporting Operations team is responsible for assuring that Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management clients receive industry leading documents matching or exceeding regulatory requirements. The team collaborates with multiple stakeholders across the firm to continuously refine our offering, improving the client experience while focusing on creating operational efficiencies.
Background on the Position Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Operations is recruiting a dynamic and forward looking Vice President for the Client Statements team. Leading with exceptional ideas, the VP will challenge assumptions and actively look for ways to enhance the firm's reporting platform while developing robust processes and procedures. Creating a dynamic quality and risk management culture, the VP will "think like an owner" to deliver a first class client experience with a strong focus on operational efficiencies and a strong control environment. S/he will collaborate with business partners inside and outside of Client Reporting including, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Vendor Management aiming at providing highest quality of information to our clients. S/he will influence and mobilize partners across departmental lines and functional silos to resolve issues and create tactical and strategic solutions.
Investing in the future of our firm, the VP will be responsible to lead the team and foster cooperation, growth and career development of their direct reports. The VP will help identify and define change opportunities and oversee multiple projects simultaneously from beginning to end. S/he will act as a subject matter expert for Statement Operations and aim to create efficiencies, improve controls and enhance client experience. S/he will critically assess existing processes and propose well thought out improvements. The VP will respond to inquiries and escalations from senior management, the service center, business partners, Legal and Compliance and branches.
Primary Responsibilities -Manage a team of resources responsible for various aspects of client reporting for Wealth Management. -Actively leverage networks and use initiative to expand own and others understanding of front to back business process and technology. -Actively participate in all phases of the technology change process. Play a key role in idea/enhancement generation while challenging the conventional view constructively and respectfully to influence the direction of progress. -Foster cooperative environment and guide the team to partake in business requirement, testing strategy and test script development -Coordinate quality assurance process. In addition to managing testing performed by the team, assure full cooperation and involvement of all Operations teams participating in preliminary and month-end review process. -Analyze metrics reporting, assure relevance and adjust as needed. React to trends and modify processes accordingly. -Ensure oversight and cooperation with vendors for production of output. -Work in concert with vendors to oversee the external change process. -Continuously improve processes, reduce risk, and process streamlining. -Participate in all phases of internal and external audits as well as Compliance and Risk reviews. -Assure handling of field office inquiries is conducted with at most accuracy, matching or exceeding SLAs and with highest professionalism.

Skills desired -Experience interacting with internal and external auditors, Legal and Compliance teams -Series 99 or 7 license
