Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.
This role will support the Risk Reporting Utility from the Americas region perspective. The individual will also be responsible for adhoc projects which will require a level of risk based knowledge approaches to reviewing data. The role will support multiple entities across the Operations teams. Due to the volume of reporting and risk agenda items that the team is responsible for providing (from both and internal perspective), as well as a regulatory perspective, this hire is deemed critical to MS operations. We require this employee to be Baltimore based, the employee will support teams sitting within the US and within various other time zones.
- Good reporting and data analysis skillsets are a must. - The successful candidate will work on our Balance Score Card, Board and Firm Risk decks. - Not only are PowerPoint and excel skills required, but understanding analytics to help put together metrics is key. - Written and Verbal communications are critical in this role as the successful candidate will be interacting with senior stakeholders. - Team player: the team is based in India as well as Glasgow and New York, and works closely to get our deliverables met. - Ability to work independently - the successful candidate will be located in Baltimore but will report to management in New York. - Good understanding of Risk and risk incidents is key.
