Job Title: Veterinarian – 2nd Shift Job Classification:Contract Labor Job Relationships: Reports to Clinic Administrator Job Summary: Veterinarian responsible for high quality / high volume spay and neuter surgeries on McKamey Animal Center animals in accordance with established policies & procedures. Provides the highest quality medical care possible for animals served through our Second Shift (2nd) veterinary services and spay/neuter program.
Salary: $40.00 per hour.

Schedule: The schedule has flexible days Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs or Friday with hours from 5pm – 10pm. Once the day or days are determined the schedule will be set for the Veterinarian and medical support team (Vet Tech and Vet Assistant).
Job Duties: The information below is not intended by the parties to be an exhaustive list of the services to be provided by the Contractor under the Contract between Contractor and MAC, but instead is intended to express the scope of the services to be performed by the Contractor.
•Provision of veterinary care and services, including surgery and euthanasia, in a safe, competent, professional, and humane manner in accordance with the highest ethical standards and with MAC’s policies and procedures for animals in MAC’s care and in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws governing the practice of veterinary medicine. This includes, but is not limited to, an expectation of performing at least a minimum of 10 – 15 spay or neuter surgeries per day or 5 hour shift. •Communication with Veterinary colleagues, MAC medical staff, and Management as necessary to perform the services required by Contractor and/or as requested by MAC. •Assistance with monitoring use of medical supplies & supply requisition. •Mentoring and providing educational support for the clinic staff as part of the overall team. •Maintenance of complete surgical, complication, mortality, & controlled drug logs & individual animal medical records as related to the daily spay and neuter surgeries. •If desired, participation in special events, offsite clinics, and other events as shared or requested by MAC. •Performance of other duties as requested by MAC.
