SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY Korea International School (KIS) is a private, non-profit, nonsectarian school offering an American college preparatory curriculum. KIS was established in 2000 and is located in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in the rapidly growing southern Seoul suburb of Pangyo. Enrollment is 1100 students PK-12.
This position will oversee the day-to-day aspects of Admissions, liaising with various internal and external stakeholders on related matters. They will also assist with the review, development and implementation of related processes in order to ensure a consistent, transparent, and positive applicant experience. This is an applicant focused role and requires commitment to providing a high level of service to market and recruit qualified students.
The Admissions Officer reports to the KIS Business Director to meet governmental compliance issues and works in conjunction with the school administration team.

Ensure that the admissions office conducts all meetings and communications with prospective parents on all aspects of admissions, and evaluates students to determine their eligibility of admission to KIS with the highest levels of professionalism, respect, and discretion.
Coordinate record keeping and correspondence related to admissions including all government required reporting in consultation and with support from the business office.
Act as the primary representative and point of contact for the school with exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport when interacting with families.
Create a positive first impression to potential families
Collaborate with families, faculty, administrators, and Korean business personnel to coordinate all information related to admissions.
Administer assessments and evaluate admissions application documentation.
Assist with school marketing, communication with community, and development of promotional materials.
Collaborate with the administrative team and business department to plan and participate in promotional events hosted by KIS or other organizations.
Monitor and evaluate admissions standards and practices with in partnership with school administration.
Maintain accurate enrollment demographics data.
Communicate with prospective families, host promotional events, and coordinate application assessments with student support, ESOL, counseling, and administrative team members.
Be aware of admissions policies, procedures, and practices of competing schools and cooperatively collaborate within the coalition network of international schools.
Promote the school within the local and overseas foreign community, gather and analyze statistical information regarding admissions trends and student data to recruit appropriate students for Seoul and Pangyo campuses.
Perform other duties below:
Write and/or edit school related to promotional materials and publications and/or marketing material.
Be knowledgeable about the school community, academic programming, and co-curriculars
Travel inside or outside of the country for promotional and marketing events as needed
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) Experience: Familiar with international education and have some understanding of the expat community in Korea. Admissions experience is required Minimum of 2 years of K-12 experience at a western accredited school
Contract Terms Minimum of 2 year(s) commencing mid-July 2019 or earlier if possible. Work days are from Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm during the academic year and from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm during school breaks. The Admissions Officer may be asked to work on a holiday or weekend as needed.
