ZeroDay Technology Solutions (ZDTS) is a Professional Services provider servicing partners and customers nationwide with Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. We are seeking experienced candidates to design Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure for mission-critical data centers and central offices. Design aspects include equipment enclosures, low-voltage cable pathway, firestopping, grounding/bonding, Inside Plant (ISP) fiber optic and copper cabling, -48V DC power systems, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Roles And Responsibilities
Responsible for reviewing and understanding project solicitations.
Responsible for developing and fielding subcontractor bid packages.
Responsible for developing Cost Basis of Estimate (BoE), including assigning labor hour estimates, materials, travel expenses, management, etc.
Responsible for studying and selecting most suitable products for both Best Value and Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) designs.
Responsible for developing technical assumptions and assigning Customer/Vendor Contributions.
Responsible for identifying and minimizing technical and contractual risks.
Responsible for creating project schedules and identifying major milestones.
Responsible for creating customer-facing proposal documentation.
Responsible for performing high- and low-level site surveys to assess existing conditions, issues and utilization.
Responsible for developing complex, multi-faceted survey reports and recommended corrective actions.
Responsible for development of drawing package, list of material (LOM), method of procedure (MOP), system acceptance test (SAT) plan, scope of work (SOW) and any other specifications required to complete a project design. NOTE: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) work performed by others.
Responsible for attending design and collaboration meetings with teammates, other disciplines and Customer representatives.
Responsible for providing technical support to Project Managers (PM) and Installation Technicians throughout project lifecycle.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant internal, Customer and industry standards, policies and procedures.
Responsible for performing engineering calculations including cable tray and conduit fill ratios, bend radius, battery runtime, voltage drop, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one
High school graduate or equivalent
BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) preferred
Minimum five (5) years of experience in an infrastructure design/engineering role
Federal government sector experience preferred
