Department Profile Technology works as a strategic partner with Morgan Stanley business units and the world's leading technology companies to redefine how we do business in ever more global, complex, and dynamic financial markets. Team Profile The team develops and maintains IT systems that enable the Secured Financing business. Secured Financing provides a cost-effective and flexible way of raising capital for the Firm and is responsible for a significant portion of the Firm's total cash need. We have a strong, distributed agile developer team located in Budapest, London, Tokyo and New York with around 25 people in total. The team works on major strategic initiatives for the Firm. There is a good deal of collaborative team work both within the team and with our clients (Financing Operations) and other IT groups within the Firm. We work in 2-weekly iterations; some proportion of working from home and flexible working hours is available.
Primary responsibilities - HTML5/JS UI developer for a single-page, corporate web application - Developing desktop user interfaces based on user requirements and/or specifications - UI layout and architecture design with UX in mind - Reviewing peer code - Sorting out user requirements and collaborating with underlying IT System owners - Contributing
Skills required - 1+ year experience in HTML5/JS development, Angular 2+ - General usage of collaboration tools (JIRA, Git) - Ability to work with complex applications with multiple screens, shared features and network communication with backend components - Analytical thinking, problem solving, multi-tasking, working with distributed teams, taking ownership, complying to SDLC
