Project Manager in Facilities Planning and Construction to support Education and Research Facility construction projects, including the College of Medicine’s (COM) new Innovation Pavilion for Research and Learning on the Hershey campus that will provide facilities for state-of-the-art research and support changing education and technologies. The multiple-story, approximately 300,000 sq. ft. building will be the largest construction project on campus since the opening of the COM in 1966. Assist in cost control measures to maintain project budgets. Participate in value engineering processes. Coordinate and participate in meetings to review project status, develop punch lists and commission the project. Review design professional and construction contractors applications for payment. Assist in the preparation of and distribute project status reports. Coordinate and perform site inspections to maintain project compliance. Review and determine accuracy and completeness of schedules, change orders, payment applications. Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies governing the project of facility, such as PADEP, EPA, DOH L&I, OSHA and Joint Commission. Document and communicate project information effectively and timely. Coordinate activities of internal and external engineering and architectural resources, as well as other professionals, to facilitate project development throughout design and construction. Assist in the coordination of all activities of both construction managers and trade contractors.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Management or related discipline or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
