AGC of Tennessee, West Tennessee branch Call for resumes Position: Executive Director
The West Tennessee Branch of AGC serves as a branch office of the statewide organization AGC of Tennessee. AGC of Tennessee provides a full range of services satisfying the needs and concerns of its members, thereby improving the quality of construction and protecting the public interest. AGC of Tennessee is a not-for-profit construction trade association.
This position reports directly to the AGC of Tennessee, West Tennessee branch Board of Directors. Position responsibilities include staff management, financial stability of the association, membership growth and retention, event/meeting planning and execution, community outreach, marketing and PR for members and association and building external relationships.
1.Managing staff in West TN office to help them achieve their goals set forth by Board of Directors. 2.Reviewing and approving financials and all financial transactions, with monthly reports to Board. 3.Serve as Board of Director Secretary: Take minutes for each board meeting and provide official copy to Board each month for approval, create all meeting agendas and packets with approval of current President, provide all financial updates, help in the recruitment of new Board members. 4.Develop partnerships and programs to increase membership benefits. 5.Responsible for development of educational and social programs/events including setting yearly calendar of events, meeting with committees, solidifying all details and marketing material for advertising all programs/events. 6.Recruiting sponsors for events and programs. 7.Implementation of Branch marketing program, including social media efforts. 8.Coordinating efforts with AGC of Tennessee (state office) and AGC of America (national office). 9.Member/Prospect Member relations; set meetings with prospective members and meet with current members to make sure all member needs are being met. 10.Engage with all external committees and advisory boards that bring recognition to our industry, association, and members. 11.Lead the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and responsible for oversight and management of all CLC activities. 12.Create and present annual budget (current operating budget +/- $250,000) to Board of Directors in conjunction with Office Coordinator. Maintain budget goals throughout the year. 13.Build and maintain relationships with other associations, schools, and appropriate community groups with specific focus on workforce development in community. 14.Serve as liaison at the local level between members/industry and local government; manage local PAC fund. 15.Travel to Nashville (AGC of TN office), state convention, or as needed as directed by Board of Directors.
Individual must have strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and must be self-motivated. Knowledge of the construction industry (bidding process, etc.) and/or association management experience is preferred but not required.
Hours vary; between 20-30 hours per week. Salary range between $35,000-$45,000, plus contingencies.
