The position entails providing administrative leadership, program of work guidance, and admissions for all formats of the MBA program in the College of Business.
Function as MBA Program Advisor according to the requirements as set forth by the Dean of the Graduate School and MBA Graduate Studies Committee. Work under the guidance of the MBA Program Coordinator and the MBA Graduate Studies Committee and College graduate faculty to implement governance of the MBA program. Approve MBA programs of work and changes therein. Maintain consistent contact and follow-up with students throughout the enrollment cycle. Assist in making MBA admission recommendations/decisions. Staff, attend, represent, and coordinate on-campus and off campus events designed to increase new and current student enrollment and engagement in the MBA program as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four (4) years in a related field or the equivalent experience.
Strong interpersonal skills for effectively relating to and communicating with faculty, students, and staff. Strong interest in and commitment to graduate business education. Ability to exercise good judgment in making student admission decisions and handling any student concerns about program content and other program matters. Incumbent should possess a bachelors degree in a business discipline or related area.
MBA from an AACSB accredited institution; Knowledge of MBA programs and their governance. Have an extensive professional background in business and industry. Experience with online programs. Experience in evaluating and rendering decisions on student admission applications. Strong interpersonal skills for effectively relating to and communicating with faculty, students, and staff. Strong interest in and commitment to graduate business education. Ability to exercise good judgment in making student admission decisions and handling any student concerns about program content and other program matters. Preference will be given to incumbent who possess a master's degree in a business discipline or related area.
